Cirrhosis
Cirrhosis is a late stage of liver scarring (fibrosis) caused by many forms of liver diseases, such as hepatitis and chronic alcoholism. The liver becomes damaged and is unable to function properly.
Symptoms:
- Fatigue
- Easy bruising or bleeding
- Jaundice (yellowing of skin and eyes)
- Fluid buildup in abdomen (ascites)
- Confusion or difficulty thinking (due to toxin buildup)
- Itchy skin
